The term S&P Completion Index refers to a composite that includes mid, small, and micro-cap stocks. The S&P Completion Index is published and maintained by S&P Dow Jones Indices.


Also referred to as the S&P CI, the S&P Completion Index includes the same securities as the S&P Total Market Index, excluding the securities appearing in the S&P 500. As such, the index offers investors a broad measure of the performance of mid, small and micro-cap stocks in the United States' equities market.

Launched on March 27, 2006, the index contains approximately 3,300 securities. The performance of the index can be tracked using the stock ticker SPCMI.
